CARRYING OUT AUDITS OF EXISTING MAINTENANCE
There are several issues for Estates Management to consider regarding existing maintenance arrangements such as:-
- Does the maintenance include all statutory and mandatory and business critical requirements.
- For a hospital does the maintenance comply with CQC Outcome 10 - Safety and Suitability of Premises
- Is too much maintenance being carried out by specialist maintenance companies than is necessary.
- Is the percentage of reactive maintenance being carried out excessive.
- Is there a comprehensive asset database and maintenance scheme and is it up to date.
- Is the Estates Department and Trust/Organistation receiving value for money.
