COMPUTER BASED AUDIT TOOL FOR ASSESSING COMPLIANCE WITH CQC OUTCOME 10 - SAFETY AND SUITABILITY OF PREMISES IN HOSPITALS, GP PRACTICES,  DENTAL PRACTICES AND CARE HOMES

CQC Inspections are ongoing and its fair to assume that wheareas initially the emphasis has been focussed on the medical/clinical care of the patient.  The suitability of the premise will come more to the fore and therefore, it is advisable for Hospital Estates Manager and GP and Dental Practice Manager to be fully aware of their property's compliance in relation to the CQC requirements. This is best achieved by carrying out an In-house Assessment.

We have available a Computer Based Audit Tool for assessing compliance with CQC Outcome 10 - Safety and Suitability of Premises for Hospitals, GP Practices, Dental Practices and Care Homes.

The Hospital Premises Assessment can be carried out by a Trust Estates Officer but in the case of GP Practices, Dental Practices and Care Homes the assessment should ideally be carried out by a Building Services Engineer or a Building Surveyor.

BE AWARE OF ANY NON-COMPLIANCE IN ORDER THAT IT CAN BE ADDRESSED
