PREPARING PPM SCHEMES TO COMPLY WITH STATUTORY AND MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
An effective PPM Scheme is one that is designed to cover all statutory/mandatory requirements and business critical plant.
It is important that it remains dynamic and is regularly updated to take account of new installations and plant that has been removed and that it keeps pace with legislative changes.
If you have a comprehensive Asset Database, a PPM Scheme is an extension of the Database which includes Mechanical and Electrical Work Instructions and scheduled maintenance planning.
If you do not have a suitable Asset Database, but your installation is relatively new, the Operating and Maintenance Manuals can be used as a source of information in creating the Database.
